It
is certain that there are parties that have been and still are planning for Egypt
to stay stuck in an ongoing state of consuming domestic conflict over issues
and presumptions that cannot be decided in favor of any opinion or any party. Definitely,
there are other parties which plan, execute and also detect the course of
actions and results… which means that whenever there is an issue that has
already been over tackled by people after they got sick of arguing over it,
another one comes up, in order to maintain that Egypt turns from a living body
into a decaying dead corpse.
The
difference is simply clear, as the living body engages and interacts with its surrounding
environment, pursues its biological functions and has scopes of movement,
influence and accumulating experiences which is the essence of history… while
the dead corpse is engaged with its inside where worms and bacteria exist, foul-smelling
reeks, and what was one day a productive tender lively body turns into a dead
decaying rotten useless corpse.
And
here we are, in the anniversary of the 6th of October victory,
opening doors for useless arguments over ignoring Mubarak’s name. Again, the
same bunch whom we talked about before and who have not yet stopped their very
same empty arguments in September, and before this in July over Nasser and July
23rd revolution, and before this in June and their talk over the
1967 defeat!
An
annoying void endless arguments with absolutely no use for our county, except
for those who plan and stir such false arguments and who want to insert a thick
solid stick in the moving gear spinning for the sake of developing and
protecting our country and defending it against attacks coming from all sides!
In
addition to those who plan and stir such issues, there are others working to
keep Egypt crushed and immersed in a swamp of conflicts and domestic quarrels,
meantime, there are regional parties that managed to gain huge effective
presence in terms of action and influence… examples for us all are the Zionist
state, Turkey, Iran and Ethiopia. Of such influence and power gained by some of
these parties, there are direct and serious threats to the Egyptian biological
existence itself!
In
the memory of October victory, it became a tradition to salute and praise the
Egyptian army and people… also, the armed forces in general and in specific… also
the martyrs and the man who took the decision to go to war… it also became a
tradition to demonstrate the historical evaluation for the massive victory and
the necessity to have the October spirit alive in the nation’s present and
future… also, to give a visit to the war memorial, Sadat and Nasser’s graves…
that was the case in Mubarak’s time to date… however, it was not a tradition
that celebration – at least in the president’s speech – turns to what happens
in local weddings’ celebrations where everyone is mentioned by his name!
They
are crying for not mentioning Mubarak’s name forgetting that Mubarak himself
was the one who erased the name and photo of the commander-in-chief of the
armed forces during the time of planning for war and waging it; Sa’ad ed-Din
esh-Shazly… he erased his photo from the famous photo for the military
operations room during war where Sadat, marshal Ismail and marshal al-Gamsy
appear but esh-Shazly not… they also forget what happened to marshal
Abu-Ghazala, marshal al-Gamsy, Youssef Sabri Abu-Taleb and others who were
unfairly treated in the days of Mubarak!
Again,
they forget that president Sisi was the one who gave due respect to every one
starting from Muhammed Naguib, Youssef Seddiq and not ending by ash-Shazly...
again, they forget that Mubarak was the one who made such situation so critical,
as he was convicted by a decisive final judicial verdict issued by the Court of
Cassation; highest judicial authority in Egypt, of stealing public fund; which
is an offence against honor and is not susceptible to be dropped by
reconciliation… again and again, they wonder in crying without asking
themselves about the political and legal dimensions of such thing… not to
mention that the legitimacy of June 30th revolution is connected to
Jan 25th revolution that, as per the constitution, was a revolution
against Mubarak’s regime!
The
matter is then way more complicated than shedding these crocodile tears over one
person in specific, while actually they are shedding tears of blood over the illicit
gains and profits they reaped or piled, one can say, in all fields starting
from lands and public-owned properties and not ending by the shores and
unlimited privileges… all of that was under the cloak of Mubarak’s regime whom
they cry for not mentioning his name.
For
thirty years, the October war has been shortened to be “the airstrike” alone,
without even mentioning the names of the air forces’ heroes who martyred in the
air strikes and those injured and were situated in the battle field away from
the well-fortified operations room, and also without giving credit to the role
of other military forces branches and elite officers; geniuses of planning,
operations and executing tasks… also all ranks and soldiers. However, no one –
no matter what his orientation is – can deny the role of any one of October’s
leaders including Mubarak. The current situation would not have been so – by not
shedding lights on Mubarak – except for many considerations I mentioned some of
them here.
It
is time to shout out loud: Enough… enough stirring arguments, problems and
secondary fights and let us all focus… and all argue… and all work on how to
pursue the development plan, avoid any mistakes and overcome any obstacles…
also on how to stand against the region being eaten out by regional parties on
the expense of the Egyptian role… actually on the expense of its existence and
the existence of its own people… so, will we let go of what was and still is
being planned for us and start paying attention to those who push us fast to drown
in the swamp of such kind of conflicts?
