The gas case

It’s very strange that the Egyptian government has issued a statement saying that the fine imposed by an arbitration agency in the case of exporting natural gas to the Zionist state – which is about 2 billion dollars; meaning about 17 billion Egyptian pounds – has nothing to do with the government… and that it’s the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and the gas company that are entitled to pay for this fine… they talk as if this corporation and company exist in other country and not ours… and that this gas is extracted from Mars and not from our land.

But what is not strange indeed is the alliance made between Mubarak’s regime – the thief as ruled by the court verdict – and Egyptian capitalism… such capitalism that includes some examples which are more savage and notorious than Dracula and Judas combined.

We find ourselves standing before a case that clearly describes how mean was this group of profiteers who ruled our country for 30 years… such group that followed after what its founder; Sadat had established when he once said: “Egypt has become more expensive… those who will not make fortunes during my time… will never make it”… then the unbridled Infitah started; meaning the open market but in the Sadat’s way… that Infitah that was the beginning of inclination and deterioration…

It’s like applying the theory of Communicating vessels on such capitalist group… again, there was another strange phenomenon; both parties, meaning the ruling regime and the allying capitalist group pretended to be pious and devout… and that’s why they made reconciliation with those who had the same false devotion; meaning muslim brotherhood and all their likes… and so, they were in good terms with them since the seventies and until their spiritual leader; Murshed, ruled Egypt.

The gas case started by forging numbers of gas reserves… when then-minister of petroleum used to declare everyday that we are floating over massive layers of gas reserves and those reserves will not drain in thousand years… but certainly this crime does not end by exporting the gas to the Zionist enemy at very low prices compared to the international market price… it seems they exaggerated about the reserves’ numbers to give an excuse for exporting the gas for the enemy at such unbelievably very low prices… not caring a bit if they are betraying their homeland and stabbing it in the core of its coming generations’ future in doing such treason deed.

Before continuing further, I want to say that I still don’t understand how a sovereign government agency was involved in such thing… and why this agency has not issued a statement replying and refuting such thing… and if there was a mistake, it’s very likely that they admit it and unveil their firm intention to correct it and not do it again.

Now we go into discussing the whole of our national natural resources of minerals similar to gas… also discussing the necessity to open all its files through the last five decades so that first, people can know what natural resources they possess… second, to know how to deal with such treasures… third, to know those who put their hands on those resources and whether they looted and stole them or not and the fortunes they made out of looting public money… forth, people shall know where and how such fortunes were deployed?... and had those fortunes stolen helped reinforce corruption, despotism and social inequality or not?... and what is the vision and program of the current regime to stand against what is still left of such corruption practices on all levels?

Now, they will say… “hey… look… this man has a grudge against capitalism and capitalists… he adopts an ideology that is anti-progress that guaranteed modernity for developed countries… he is calling for class struggle and is enflaming it”… but they have already started saying and “acting” on all levels…

And so we can simply understand the daily recurring vicious campaign against the decades of the fifties and sixties… and against Gamal Abdel-Nasser and his social ideology… it’s a recurring campaign indeed including some capitalists and businessmen… you can also find some journalists and articles and columns’ writers… also media people and others who work for such capitalists… joining this campaign…

Almost daily, you can meet one of those opening fire at any event, occasion, saying or stance that belongs to Nasser… I can even tell for sure that some of them write as per instructions given to him from a capitalist owning a media facility or just to satisfy the one owning the facility he is working for to guarantee the business owner’s consent.

Their undeclared goal standing behind such attack is delivering a daily message to president Sisi and his ruling regime not to follow Nasser’s model… otherwise, you will be attacked in the same way until you retreat or disappear.

Now, back to the gas case, the substantial fine and our government… I want to assure here that nations’ memory is not weak… and that accumulating crimes will lead to change in the right moment with every means available… starting from reform and reaching to violent revolution… Re-prosecute those thieves… looting nations’ national treasures and natural resources is not a minor crime.
