Hitting truth..

The late innovative Muhammed Mustagab used to have idiomatic jokes – if one can say – for example he used to describe the one who claims knowing the truth while he is a total ignorant as the man who always hits the heart of the truth… then he keeps silent for a moment and then adds: “… with a stroke”… and I always used to laugh with my little brother when he used to mock those who fail in the school but claim they did it by their own will saying: “he failed with great success”.

In my opinion, there are some who hit the heart of the truth in the same way in their political visions and ideological claims… but I believe they will “fail with great success”.

The last trend in this is what I saw on Facebook as they call for electing a certain presidential candidate with the aim of promoting the civil state… I believe there is no one in the field of political public work in general or the intellectual field in specific can stifle an ideology or call of anyone even if he opposes such ideology or idea… however, that does not mean we do not discuss ideas and apply all calls for unbiased scrutiny to examine their reactions and effects on the rest of aspects, atop of this is the national existence itself.

To refresh your memory, I would like to quickly remind you that the beginning of the seventies witnessed the very start of what we now call fragmentation and dismantle which has become a living reality stabbing us all in the back… during that time, we had a president who called himself the “pious president” meaning by contrast that his predecessor was not one.

After this, things changed after October, 1973 when the roles of soldiers and officers of our army of different ranks, also of Christians and Muslims were ignored… also the role of weapons, technical progress, training, innovation, courage, planning, African and Arab support… also support from the Soviet Union… all that was ignored in order to focus on the claim that the victory achieved was because we were socialist atheists before but now we became devout believers in open economy!

At the mid-seventies, a new variable was present in the field of intellect and culture and political work domain… that variable came with the reconciliation between Sadat and muslim brotherhood… when “ad-Dawaa” magazine and a headquarter for muslim brotherhood were open alongside the appearance of the Murshid’s name in public… all that was done with verbal approval from the head of the state without any published or written official decisions…

With the existence of this new variable, a new agenda started… that agenda was based on the “conflicting duplicities” which are supposed to be with the aim of enriching Egyptian civilization, cultural and intellectual diversity… and maybe some of us participated either by speaking or listening to debates and seminars around “science… and faith”… “religion… and science”… etc. in addition to many other titles that occupied most, if not all, of the intellectual domain of the society.

At the same time, that reflected on the social and economic circumstances… and the crunch of unbridled Infitah or open-economy policy started under the claim that any interference in capital and investment freedom is a retreat to the state of atheism and defeat… with Infitah came capital investment corporations or “employing money” companies with Islamic slogans like “Ar-Rayan[1]… a door of heaven”… bushy long beards grew… and savings of millions of Egyptians went into the thieves’ safes under the name of God’s religion and his prophet’s doctrine… many died out of anguish and others got paralyzed for losing their money in those companies.

At that time, that logic of opposing duplicities was the gate where destruction came in and the fiendish plan to dismantle Egypt started… not only Egypt, but the whole region.

Later, we entered into a worse phase where discrimination between Christian and Muslim started… then Orthodox Christian in opposing to others Catholic and Protestant… moreover, they even invented a second Orthodox church and called it “the Athanasius church”… and had a headquarter for it in Al-Mokattam with a man called Maximus on top of it.

On the other side, we had Sunna and Shiaa… in Sunna, we had Gumhoor, Asha’ari, Salafis and Sufis… and inside each of those we had other sub-categories like Hizbi Salafi, Jihadi Salafi… Gama’a Islamiya… etc.

It is not yet over… furthermore, we have heard recently some talking about Nubia, its language and culture; not in the context that the Egyptian community is diverse and such diversity enriches and augments the greatness of its civilization… but actually such talking over Nubia was toward more dismantle… we also heard from many Egyptians living in Sinai… in north and south… how they are Bedouins and have other non-national loyalties…

And now a new ring in the chain is starting… I believe it is one of the most dangerous phases… this time is about dismantling our Egyptian cultural intellectual political social existence into civilian and military… because the issue will not be about the costume one wears… but it exceeded this already into the very core of people’s thought, culture and stances… and the term of “slaves of military” was coined… although no one coined a term describing terrorist muslim brotherhood, their followers and all their likes.

We are about to have a new dismantle that does not do with religion, thought, doctrine and race… but one that will hit our country in the heart… as I may be regarded as a civilian due to my profession and outfit but I am categorized in the military side since I do believe in the important role of the Egyptian army throughout ages and until Egypt can secure itself against danger… I also believe that Egypt’s sons of military men are not less patriot, committed, cultured or knowledgeable than other Egyptian citizens… moreover, I believe that the Egyptian army has been for decades a place where all diverse elements of Egyptian composition unite.

Upon all this, supporting Hamdeen Sabbahi; not for his political orientation, or his presidential program, or even his outlook… but just because he is civilian… in doing so, we are entering another phase of the plan aiming at fragmenting Egypt and dismantling it… for those who want to know, such call for electing Sabbahi started from Kanada.
