Talking about rescue and change

It is said that there are efforts being exerted by some intellectually and politically prominent figures to establish a front for rescue and change… I am lucky to know most if not all of those respected people… some of them enjoy a distinguished reputation in their field and all of them participated in the social political movement that led to January 2011 revolution… also, some of them contributed to the preparation of June 2013 revolution.

First, I would like to say that no one has to the right to speak against the opinion or activity of anyone else… and it is not likely that someone believes himself, his ideology or his true political doctrine is the only right one and regards others as Aghyiars or Goy as the Jewish doctrine say… I would like also to add that as long as one dedicated himself to a public mission and made himself a preacher for rescue and change, then he has to accept criticism and commit to being completely explicit.

Rescue from what?... and change to what?... this is the preliminary question that necessitates defining the terms to indicate their true meanings… and if those who raised such slogans have specific meanings, they have to explain them.

Furthermore, is there a relation between the current argument taking place in some circles of political activists around what is called reconciliation with muslim brotherhood and this attempt of rescue and change?... to be more specific, has there been any dialogue, talks and signs of communication between those calling for rescue and muslim brotherhood group through certain channels?... and what limit does such dialogue or communication have if it exists?

In this regard, have there been any regional or international communications between those calling for rescue and change and other official parties in the region like the Qatari regime for example… or political parties like an-Nahda party in Tunisia… or with democracy and human rights NGOs?... the same thing applies on the international level as there are activists opposing the regime in Egypt and who reside in the United States, the European Union and Britain.

These questions look as if they instigate two options… the first is to push the regime in Egypt through its institutions and entities to deal with such attempt before it gets stronger and turns into more widespread actions amid the social and economic circumstances… the second is to open the door for war between supporters of the current situation and callers for such attempt to go into a dilemma of controversy either by attacking and defending or attacking and counter attacking in order to foil such attempt.

Actually and frankly, the aim of those lines is totally different… the aim is to appeal to those calling for rescue and change to explore – and many others will follow them if they did – another way for rescue and change other than this one that was proved many times to be a failure.

The way I think is working is to set off by having a mission schedule that has to do with the Egyptian social, intellectual, and cultural composition and creating a well-connected multi-centred strong neural network with a main target – and nothing else – that is the comprehensive renaissance of Egypt by rescuing what is left of resistance by its people to oppose the various kinds of underdevelopment like poverty, ignorance, diseases, and negativity… and to stand against the dismantle and fragmentation that took place.

I invite you to embarrass the regime by tackling profound spreading comprehensive national missions in the countryside, deserts, urbans, cities, and slum areas… only then, no one can prevent this mission… but reproducing the same media and political discourse produced by the same figures before… and reproducing the same mission again; that is to destabilize the regime and push it to tighten its media and security fist in order to reach a deadlock like what happened before with those who preceded it… I think that will be of no use and will lead only to the same results like before.

Let us conduct the mission even if not in a written agreement… let the presidency and government go on their national missions that accomplish tremendous achievements… and let the others tackle parallel national missions that need strenuous efforts over decades… atop of those missions is gaining back the behavioral, intellectual, and cultural composition of the Egyptian conscience… as all attempts for rescue and change that stayed limited to meetings, conferences, and exchanging papers among the “crème de la crème”, will lead to nothing but more alienation of people away from this “crème” figures.

Finally, I would like to quote a comment said by one interested in the pubic national affairs… he said it after he reviewed the names of the respected gentlemen heading this attempt of rescue and change… he said: “if I were in the regimes’ shoe, I would have paid massive amounts of money for those people to go on and declare themselves… as frankly, they are the most important reason lying behind why people refuse rescue and change”.
